While I was away recently, I fell in love with the beauty of the Caribbean islands, but one has really stayed with me. I wandered through the streets of Bonaire, utterly enchanted by the pastel-coloured shops and houses, each one a little splash of joy. The island was a feast for the eyes, with pretty murals tucked into unexpected corners and bright bursts of colour that seemed to lift the spirit effortlessly. It was the kind of place that instantly calmed the mind and nourished the soul. The bright sunshine warmed my skin, the clear blue of the sea stretched endlessly before me, and the lush green of the island’s nature was a soothing balm. I wanted to bottle up that feeling and bring it home—because colour, in all its vibrancy, has a magic of its own.


And this is where colour therapy comes in! Colour is a powerful tool in self-care, influencing our mood, energy, and even our overall well-being. Whether it's the colours we wear, the shades we surround ourselves with, or even the tones we eat, colour plays an integral role in how we feel.

Picture yourself surrounded by calming blue light for relaxation, a golden glow for positivity, or soft pink for self-love. You can also use coloured crystals or candles to enhance this practice.

If you struggle to feel motivated to move your body, try adding some fun colours to your workout gear! A bright yoga mat, vibrant trainers, or even just a colourful water bottle can bring a little joy and energy to your fitness routine.
